Special blog for special people


This session was pretty special to be able to capture, as the people in it are some of the most amazing people in my life. Some of you all know me, and some of you are new friends, so I want to give a little backstory on me to help paint the background of this session.

Meet my parents


I grew up in a wonderful family that always supported me from day one. My mom and dad (Cindy and Gary) always have gone above and beyond to provide, love, and equip me in all seasons of my life. They instilled how important it is to go after things you enjoy doing and love, and always reminded me that I was capable, even when the path seems daunting.


Some of my favorite memories growing up include car rides on the way to Walmart to grocery shop with my mom. We would talk, plan out our grocery items we needed, play music in the car, you name it. What seems so entirely simple is something I actually look back on and am thankful for.


As far as my dad goes, my favorite memories of my childhood consist of him showing how present he was in my life in all my passions. It didn't matter if it was a softball game in 100-degree heat or even a basketball game to watch me despite basketball not being my best sport haha... I could always look in the crowd and count on him being there (along with all my other family members). Essentially, I had the best parents who gave all they had for me, and I am incredibly grateful for them.

Ry-Ry and Bubs


Now for the other "subjects" in the photos. I don't even know where to start. The two little ones you see in these pictures are my whole heart and have been from the moment we learned of their existence. My two children, Ryleigh and Garrett, are my everything and my motivation. Their first breath fuels my "why" in everything I do. I pray to give them a life that I had growing up where they feel safe, special, seen, and valued. They bring so much light into this world that can be so dark, and I am beyond proud to be their mother.


Ryleigh is my firstborn and my little sweetheart. She is determined to make the world a better place with one, "Hello, how are you today" and helping hand at a time. Gosh I just love that sweet girl. If you know my family personally, you know exactly what I am talking about, because she loves greatly to everyone she meets.


Now onto my little mister, Garrett. This little guy smiles pretty much all the time and radiates happiness everywhere he goes. Just about a year ago, he changed our lives in the most perfect way. He loves big and fierce. You see that in the way he chases after his sister, the way he smiles with his eyes, and in his positive personality.


I actually find it hard to write about my children, because words can't touch my love for them and how blessed I am by them daily. God went above and beyond when He placed them on this Earth and gave me the incredible honor to be part of their lives as their Mama. My heart just explodes with all I have for them in every way.

The grandparent love


Now that you have the backstory on my most recent "clients", let's dive into this dream session. The bond my parents have with my children is undeniable, like anyone including strangers could feel the love they share. It is one of the strongest forces I have witnessed. Getting to see the way my children light up when they catch a glimpse of their MawMaw and PawPaw is a sweet blessing to me. I love getting to watch my parents love on their grandkids because it's a whole other level of love. It's Ryleigh shouting, "PawPaw!!!" as she runs down the driveway to hug him. It's Garrett snuggling on MawMaw's lap. It's Garrett becoming soooo attached to PawPaw, and it's Ryleigh playing with MawMaw in the living room. It's all the little moments that have big lasting memories in our hearts.


There's no doubt the love these four share was shown in each of these pictures. My mom said to me that she hoped there were some good ones of them all looking, and I assured her there would be and even better there would be some that you could look at the picture and almost feel the love coming through the photos. Let me tell you, you can definitely feel the love! I posted their sneak peek, and someone commented, "Now this is love" and I couldn't agree more! We danced, snuggled, tickled, hugged, and soaked in the moment.

Thank you, mom dad, Ryleigh and Garrett for this past session and even more for what you mean to me. I hope these pictures are something you cherish for a lifetime. Your support is something I will always treasure and be grateful for. You all are the best!
