Best Locations in Springfield, IL for Photo Sessions
I’ve been working my way through some of the best photo locations around Springfield, IL. So far, I have covered Centennial Park and Washington Park in Central, Illinois. Lincoln Park blends rustic charm with classic beauty and has no shortage of natural scenery. In the fall, the colors are incredible, and the park has so many unique areas that work perfectly for family sessions, seniors, couples, and more.
Stone Bridge
The stone bridge is the iconic feature of Lincoln Park. It stretches over a small pond, and depending on the angle, you can create a surprising amount of variety in your gallery. The pond also has two fountains, which add a beautiful touch when shooting near the bridge.
There are several ways to use this spot for your session. You can sit along the edge, stand in the center, lean against the wall, or mix in different poses to capture the mood you want. It is one of those locations that looks great from every direction.

I am not sure this spot has an official name, but “Rock Backdrop” describes it perfectly. This area is ideal for individual portraits, seniors, couples, and families. One of Lincoln Park’s biggest strengths is the amount of greenery and open space it offers. You’ll find trails, tall trees, grassy areas, and little hidden corners throughout the park. In the fall, the colors truly pop and make every gallery feel warm and vibrant.
